Rice County Recorder’s Office

Enchanced Online Access to Real Estate Records

LandShark is a web-based tool for research and retrieval of land record documents.  With LandShark, you can search for land record documents, and if the document is available on our system, you can actually view and print the document image from your own computer.

A LandShark User Profile sheet, and an Escrow Request/Authorization Form (see "Escrow" tab above) must be signed and returned, along with a signed Rice County Security & Acceptable Use Policy form.  (see "Agreement" tab-above)  Applicable fees need to be paid before the remote access service is granted.

If you need assistance, please contact our office at (507) 332-6114.

Our new “Tract” search is available to all Landshark users. This feature allows remote access to approximately 16,000 historic tract book images dating back to 1854. Our staff has worked diligently making this feature become a reality for Rice County. Please note the “Modified Date” listed in the search results pertains to the first entries in that particular tract book, not necessarily a specific page or "Q" number.

We are in the process of entering all of our ACTIVE Torrens Certificates of Title into TriMins Torrens package.  What this means for you is that you will then be able to print a Certificate of Title remotely.
