Rice County Recorder’s Office

Enchanced Online Access to Real Estate Records

LandShark is a web-based tool for research and retrieval of land record documents.  With LandShark, you can search for land record documents, and if the document is available on our system, you can actually view and print the document image from your own computer.

A LandShark User Profile sheet, and an Escrow Request/Authorization Form (see "Escrow" tab above) must be signed and returned, along with a signed Rice County Security & Acceptable Use Policy form.  (see "Agreement" tab-above)  Applicable fees need to be paid before the remote access service is granted.

If you need assistance, please contact our office at (507) 332-6114.

We are in the process of historically entering all of our ACTIVE Torrens Certificates into TriMins Torrens package.  What this means for you is that you will then be able to print a torrens certificate from LandShark.  We have many of them historically entered to date, so if you need a copy of an older certificate, you may want to check and see if you can print it off.

You can now retrieve images on LandShark dating back to late 1965.  You will need to know either the document number or the book and page because our tract index doesn’t go back that far yet on LandShark.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at,
